Our most popular ride, the Eagle, includes a Mile High tow to 5280 ft above the Hinckley countryside and a flight which lasts about 35-40 minutes depending on the weather. It allows enough time for you to take the controls (under supervision) and fly the glider yourself or seek out rising air currents (thermals) to gain altitude and learn what soaring is all about. On a clear day you can even see the Chicago skyline. The Eagle ride is also the perfect gift for that special occasion.

Red Tail Ride

All of our flights include a brief overview of soaring and controls of the sailplane. When you are buckled in and ready to go, the sailplane will be connected to the tow plane with a 200 ft rope. The Red Tail ride includes a tow to 3000 ft above the earth. Your soaring flight will last approximately 20-25 minutes depending on weather. It is an enjoyable introduction to soaring with plenty of time to get comfortable and enjoy the thrill. You may even see a Red Tail Hawk flying alongside of you.
